PenUp, Hands Down One of the Best Networking Events

Shaun, Delaney, & Julie

Once again it was on as Shaun Beastley, Delaney Douglas, and Ole’ Music Publishing brought another life changing PenUp Songwriter Networking Event to all the aspiring and established songwriters and producers in attendance at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, Ca.

Cypher Lounge Radio was in the building  to witness co-founder and Managing Director of Beat Brokers, Inc., Gregory Sieradzan, the songwriting/producing duo, Melvin “MELE” Moore & Floyd “A-1” Bentley, Ole’ Publishing Creative Manager, Julie Moe, and Producer/Songwriter/Composer, Fuego drop jewels about the music business.  With topics that ranged from how to send a proper email, twitter ettiquette, and the importance songwriter’s credits on the cue sheet, PenUp never fails to tackle various topics that aspiring artists need to hear.  The

beautiful thing about PenUp is that the information being shared in the room is not just your normal surface material and the panel is not always in complete agreement with one another which speaks to the value of this event.

Speaking of value, PenUp for the first time presented the Ole’To The Topline” challenge award to songwriter, J Vic.  He was awarded a single song publishing deal and a $500 recoupable cash advance for the song he submitted for the contest.  This is the type of reward that makes PenUp stand out from many other networking events.

As always, the PenUp audience was treated to a performance by some up and coming talent.  Kes Kaos came through and did his thing along with a band to bring some live energy into the Musician’s Institute auditorium. If tha wasn’t enough, legendary songwriter, Johnta Austin just happened to be in the audience just as many other well-known producers, artists, managers, etc. seem to always be in attendance at PenUp. It was definitely a night to remember and Cypher Lounge is looking forward to the PenUp Songwriter event on May 26th.  Stay-Tuned Scholars!
